The girls and I were on the way home from dance class last night and this is the conversation they were having. I didn't really contribute much as I was trying not to laugh...
"It kinda sucks being a girl."
"I know, right?"
"You have to have periods and your boobs have to hurt when they grow."
"And you have to be pregnant."
"Yeah! And sometimes they have to almost rip open your stomach!"
(At this point, I did intervene and ask them which was better, to have your stomach "ripped" open or to die. They both agreed death was the least sucky option)
"I know, I really don't want to get pregnant, but I really want to adopt."
"Yeah."
"Then after you have kids you have to stay with them all the time."
"And drive them everywhere."
"And do all their school stuff with them."
"And boys expect you to stay skinny!"
"I know!!"
"Being a girl is hard."
"All boys have to do is have private parts and get money."
And there you have it.
aahhhahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa! That is the best thing I've heard in a while. They left out farting.

ReplyDeleteAND...remind them that we get two cool options of gender. Both equally cool. They got the "WOMAN option," and that's a great thing. Being a woman is wonderful. Wonderful.
And you missed a chance to say, "YOU don't need to be worrying about the 'pregnancy thing' for a LONG LONG TIME if you know what's good for you." You missed that chance...
